Contract: Term‑time only, 25 hours per week and offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2026, with the potential to extend (subject to external funding).

Interview date: 20 March 2026

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing? Whether you're exploring a new career, recently completed a qualification in Education or Early Years, or have experience in care, healthcare, or volunteering with children, we would love to hear from you.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward‑thinking, inclusive primary school dedicated to helping every child thrive.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and compassionate individual to provide 1:1 SEND support and small‑group interventions across all year groups at Bournville Primary School.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Work with small groups to boost learning and confidence
  • Support children across different year groups
  • Assist pupils with personal care, when required
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and families

Who we’re looking for, formal qualifications are helpful, but the right mindset is what matters most.

Are you:

Proactive, enthusiastic, and full of energy?

Able to empower children, helping them grow in confidence and independence?

Calm, patient, and caring, especially when children are upset or overwhelmed?

Motivated to help create an inclusive, supportive learning environment?

If this sounds like you, we’d love to receive your application.

We welcome candidates with school experience, but we are equally keen to hear from those with personal experience supporting children with SEND.
